Paddlefish Opener, 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. Freshly caught paddlefish will be cleaned free of charge in exchange for the roe. Fisherman support has channeled thousands of dollars into paddlefish research and funded more than $1million dollars in historical, cultural and recreational projects.

Even though it is windy, cool, and really not nice, by early afternoon there have already been 70 fish brought in. By mid evening the count is around 115, a very very high percentage of males. |

| Brisk morning in temperature and fishing. 30 fish have been brought in by 11 a.m. Late afternoon saw totals past 90 fish, a few more females, but still a strong male run. |

It's only noon and it's pretty crazy out here. They estimate 50 or 60, quite a few on the belt. We hardly ever catch up. Very overwhelmed the rest of the day. The guys do an excellent job, we're doing our best but we simply aren't set up to handle this many in a day. 276 by 9 p.m. and there is still a back log on the belt and in the stock tanks. Our old record was 200 fish in one day. Thanks for your patience. 309 at 10:30 and there still may be a few more trickling in.
If your fillets got misplaced, please contact us as we may have either found them or we may have some donated fillets to replace them. We'll do our best to make it right. We'll get them to you. Thanks again for your understanding. |

| Another busy day. There have been 75 fish brought in by about 1 p.m. Update that to 140 brought in by 5 pm. No word on an early season closure date. Ended the day with a Sunday record of 195; frankly the record until yesterday was 200 in a single day. |

| An unbelievable 82 fish have already been brought in to the cleaning station by early afternoon. It is a beautiful day out there, but this many on a Wednesday surprises even us. ... As I return from the Confluence at 8 p.m. the tally is up to 150 for the day. By closing the finally day's number is 178. |
